Milen Kula
The Avarian God of Battle
Milen Kula was born in 348 A.U. and grew up as an exceptionally talented fighter. His early life was one of strife, training, and blood money. Earning a living as a mercenary, he gained a reputation as a mercenary within the Wythian Empire.A Leader Like No Other
As his successes grew, so did his fame- eventually leading to the Wythian military taking note of his skills and employing his services to train groups of their soldiers. Not even the most seasoned soldiers could best him, and through his fame, charisma and skill, Kula had a group of soldiers more loyal to him than their commanders. After the death of Emperor Friedrich Wythe and the fall of the Wythian Empire at its peak, Kula led his followers north, to the border of western Northwythe and the seas south of Sevnónicha. There, he declared it to be the independent state of Avaarin, a clan to focus solely on might, skill and honour. These three tenets would be the foundation of Clan Avaarin's people and government.Ascension
Kula's teachings granted new purpose and life to those who had lost faith in the Wythian Empire. He wished for the fallen empire's prosperity, however, and vowed to act as an independent state as an ally, providing strength where the empire could not. To foster a warrior culture, duels became common in Avaarin and Kula would preside over battles. Soon enough, his followers began to shout his name when declaring victory: "Milen Kula! Death in Honour!" Milen Kula died in 428 A.U., suffering from afflictions caused by The Frost, a calamity brought upon by Luccina. Aware that his time was soon to be over, he asked for a final duel with his son, Alekzy. Weary and dying, his people watched the battle until Alekzy and every member of Kula's people shouted the victory cry before his son drove a spear into his chest. After this, the people continued the Avarian warrior-culture, becoming a protectorate state of the smaller Wythian Empire. Milen Kula is now revered as a mortal ascended to godhood- the first and only of the Avarian pantheon.Milen Kula, the Avarian god of battle, circa. 415 A.U.
