Summon Familiar

The Summon Familiar spell is an arcane spell mostly used by Wizards and Dragon Sorcerers, which allows the caster to conjure a small magical beast that obeys their commands. This beast can spy for their summoner or deliver spell touch attacks. Arzet Devadov can cast this spell, and its effect applies to Makar Mesaba's pet Dragomander  Bestie.
Summon Familiar consumes costly magical ingredients to summon a spirit that takes the form of a bat, cat, frog, toad, hawk, lizard, snake, octopus, fish, rat, raven, sea horse, spider, weasel, or other small animal. This creature is visually indistinguishable from other animals (unless specified during summoning to take a more obviously magical shape) but is not magically classified as an animal - and is therefore immune to spells that affect animals. 
Familiars act on their own but always follow its summoner's commands. Familiars cannot attack even if their form suggests violent potential - independent violence disrupts the magic that sustains their bond and anchors them to this plane. When attacked and destroyed, the familiar simply vanishes and can be resummoned good as new through another use of this spell. 
The summoner can communicate telepathically with their familiar as long as it is in 100 feet. The summoner can also use an Action to see through the Familiar's senses, though doing so will leave the summoner deaf and blind for as long as they are recieving that sensory information. 
The summoner can also use the Familiar as a vehicle to deliver Touch-based spell attacks. This does not count as independent violence on the part of the Familiar, as it requires the summoner's total focus and more or less involves the possession of the Familiar. 
The summoner can "dismiss" their familiar and send them to a pocket dimension, where they wait timelessly in stasis to be conjured. Doing so takes an Action and causes the Familiar to reappear in an unoccupied space in thirty feet. Recasting this spell allows the summoner to change the shape and appearance of their Familiar.
