Purist

Purist: Follows the original clerical Hierarchy and doctrine set forth by the direct followers of Ialthus. Led by the Most Beneficent High Pontificator, whose word is considered reflective of the Deity. Currently, the politically brilliant Alexandre Gloudot holds the title. He has forged a close friendship with the Lutrecian Crowned Royals.

Symbol: A single circle, halved vertically in black and white

Location of Origin: Old Renjugal, spread throughout Ariae and creeping into Opril

Clergy: Purist clergy is highly organized and regimented. The rankings of the Church, from highest to lowest include:

Most Beneficent High Pontificator: The head of the Dualist Church.

Pontificator: There are always eight Pontificators who are given jurisdiction over specific areas of the Dualist Church.

Teller: These are traveling Pontificators that oversee lesser Pontificators.

Speaker: The primary male clergyman. Speakers run masses and are the church's closest representation to the faithful.

High Sanctifier: The highest female position achievable within the Church. There are eight High Sanctifiers.

Sanctifier: The primary female clergywoman.

Nutremaid: The lowest female position attainable.
