Verone

Depictions of the mighty hunter, Verone, using his bow to slay the mighty stag are common across Andara. Naturally adored by hunters and trappers, Verone's exploits are well-maintained in dozens of different oral tales. In some tales, he's a mighty warrior who hunts not only stags, but hideous monsters and dragons. Other tales describe him as a tragic character, spending his days wandering the wilds lamenting the loss of those he once held dear. In most of these tales, he is described as a great shepard of the woods, killing only the game his village needs to survive, striking down those who take more than their fair share. This last version is likely a cautionary tale told to children to warn them against the evils of greed.
