The Curses

A curse is rare and almost impossible to cast, as the largest known magic the can be cast, curses are basically myth. However there are three curses known to man. The Promise, the Price, and The Payment, cast respectively by Amoonet, Maria, and Xexilia. Amoonet cast the curse when she saw magic needed to be controlled, her curse is born in call children and it faces magic users to limit their power so magics on a planetary scale can't be cast much like she did but it also means all magic users are born aware of the promise subconsciously and the possibility of magic that big. Maria cursed those who made her what she was, when they killed her soul mate. The curse lives in their decedents, this means that those born into a lot of the old families live with the curse. Her curse was nonspecific as really large magics often are and upon her magic it mingled with another intent created what is known today as a sickness called the Death. The last curse was cast by Xexilia when her daughter died. Her curse is nonspecific in a worse way than Maria's since Maria's curse was targeted. Xexilia's curse became a living thing and every so often it needs to feed.

Source

The source of the curse comes from an adapted form of the hive creature that performs the energy conversion called magic. All the women who cast it can cast it for the reason that the mutation was passed to them through the blood. Wha tallowed them to access it was a very specific chemical released by women when they grieve that is specifically used to scare other creatures off. This chemical activates magic that they would no usually have access to for example the adrenaline required for a mother to move a cart of her baby.

Discovery

Amoonet discovered the spell and was the only one to use it intentionally and to great effect, others used it by accident in grief.

Material Components

Requires the blood with the mutation in it, access to the radiation to power it, and the chemical females excreat when when extremely emotional taxted.

Gestures & Ritual

Requires no focusing point which makes it incredibly dangerous as without it the spell runs in any direction its manipulated in.

Effect Duration

Lasts as long as is intended, Amoonet's will effect Gandrain until the planet is dead, Maria's will effect the descendent's of the curse until there are no more. Xexilia's will never end as she cursed it on no one and no thing making it the most dangerous

Effect Casting Time

It takes only minutes once the chemical is relased it can be focused then exucuted, the hive mind covers the planet in about four to five mintues.

Range

As far as the mind extends so can the magic.

Applied Restriction

It can only be use on what the mind can comprehend. Another reason Xexilia's magic is dangerous was the fact that she wasn't truly cursing anything just hating everything her curse feeds off her emotions. She lives over 250 years, most of that time she was continuously casting.
