True Bond Ceremony
True Bond Ceremonies can be both romantic or platonic. The ceremony is a commitment between two people who want to stand together, and fight together. It can be done anywhere and only requires one witness. Though not a requirement True Bonds are often registered by and recorded in the Archive.
The Ceremony itself is very simple, and can be ajusted to add things from the participants cultures. During the Ceremony the Participants pledge their love and/or loyalty to each other. Then exchange a personal token, this could be a ring. Other things that have been traded include; verious kinds of jewlery, compasses, dragon scales, preserved flowers, ect. The most unusual thing ever traded was a pair of pendents containing the blood of both participants.
Most of the True Bonds are romantic and many chose a True Bond Ceremony over a "Traditional Wedding," especially because the Pocket Void is such a melting pot that marriage traditions very greatly.
However there have been a few True Bonds that have been platonic. Two people who trust each other more than anyone else, but who have no romantic fellings for one reason or another.
The very first True Bond was between Evanora and Ezrin they had been extracted from two different worlds, they had both lost family. They eventually fell in love and created the True Bond Ceremony, commiting to a life together.
Many Partners have their Ceremony at the Bio Dome Lake. Some chose the small chapel in Corner Cabin. They can chose to invite friends, or just some one to be a official witness.
