Hobgoblins
Hobgoblins are a species of humanoids that originate from the Land of Faerie, they are a member of the Goblinoid family, sharing a common ancestor with Bugbear and Goblins.
Like all Goblinoids, Hobgoblins often face prejudice due to their association with violent Goblinoid tribes, especially in Terrasmus. Hobgoblins are often stereotyped as stoic, militant, unfriendly, and potentially violent, despite them being a varied as any other Mortal species. This leads many Hobgoblin gravitate towards roles as soldiers, guards and some to even more shady business, their reputation as a people baring them from other lines of work.
Many Hobgoblin can be found thriving in multicultural settlements all across Exorsia, while others can be found as part of large Goblinoid warbands, particularly within Terrasmus where they serve under violent Hobgoblin warlords.
Warbands
The Hobgoblins of Terrasmus are a Timocratic people who live in societies focused on a strict honour system, with heavily emphasis on strength and warfaring, with stations within their society based mostly on honour in combat.
These Hobgoblins can be found in warbands waging wars for superiority over the plains of Terrasmus with Orc tribes and other Hobgoblin warbands. These Hobgoblins are strictly servants of the God Pionósaigh with all kills and battles made in their honour.
Appearance
Hobgoblins can be recognised by their reddish coloured skin. Like other Goblinoids, Hobgoblins have large pointed ears, bulbous hooked noses, and sharp teeth, with small tusks protruding from their bottom jaw.
Complexion: Hobgoblin skin tones range from a light to a dark red.
Hair: Hobgoblins commonly have slick black hair that often grows in a long 'widows peak'.
Eyes: Hobgoblins tend to have yellow or brown coloured eyes.
Maturity
Hobgoblins mature around the same rate as Humans do, reaching adulthood by the age of 18.
Reproduction
Hobgoblins reproduce similarly to humans. The gestation period for a Hobgoblin is around 8 months.
