Narmiron elven dialect

An archaic form of the Elven language used by the people of Narmiron. Out of respect for tradition, the language has remained largely unchanged, preserving the vocabulary and structure of the Second Era.

Its grammar is simple compared to that of the Mystic elves, and its vocabulary is more limited, reflecting the everyday life and environment of its speakers. As a result, the language lacks words for many technological innovations. Such concepts are instead described in the simplest terms possible. (Thus, for example, the general term for a crossbow became dwarf-bow, because they saw the device from the Dwarves first.)

Writing System

The language consists of thirty letters, or runes. Numbers are also written using these symbols. The runes are composed of simple straight lines and short wedge-shaped carvings. It does not use punctuation marks, and the direction of writing is either from right to left or from top to bottom.
