Nestled between misty hills and the winding River Chionthar, the village of Evenshade appears serene, scholarly, and timeless. Home to a modest noble house, a revered temple-library of Oghma, and a vibrant community of farmers, merchants, and travelers, Evenshade is a place where cleverness holds more sway than titles, and knowledge is the quiet heartbeat of life.
But beneath the bucolic charm lies something older.
An ancient wizard tower—long predating the village—rises from a lonely hill, avoided by most and maintained out of reverence, not understanding. Visitors remark upon it. The scholars speak little of it. The nobility do not speak of it at all.
Within the village, traditions are shifting. Merchants whisper of independence. Outsiders linger longer than they should. Forgotten truths stir beneath stone and silence. And some, like the rogue-turned-psion Rafin Evenshade, find themselves drawn back—not by duty, but by the quiet promise that something here still matters.
In Evenshade, the truth speaks quietly.
You only have to listen.

Janna is Evenshade’s High Librarian: a plainspoken steward of knowledge whose cool reserve hides a soul increasingly burdened by truths she was never meant to keep. Beneath the official rust-orange cap and dark teal robes stands a woman caught between Oghma’s call to share all knowledge and the terrible weight of what must remain hidden.
If someone's sick, do they get care in the Temple? Sort of--Oghmanites don't have healing as a strong suit, so they banded together with Ilmatari and Lathanderites to serve the community's health needs.

What is a "mill race"? It's a man-made channel that diverts water from a river or stream to power a watermill. Its design controls both the flow and force of the water, ensuring a steady supply regardless of seasonal rises and falls in the main river. In essence, the mill race transforms a river’s unpredictable current into reliable mechanical energy for grinding grain, sawing timber, or other village needs.
