A world absent from darkness, banished by the heroes and the god of Light - Lumen - 217 years ago. Since then, the Luminous church has kept a firm hold on the five countries of Estoriel, ensuring that darkness can never again seep into the utopia that has been created.

Order is maintained by sentinels known as Lumen’s Divine Prosecutors. Peace has prevailed throughout Estoriel as an era of innovation and development have been ushered in. New advancements in machinery, transportation, and technology have erupted throughout the world.

Small groups of instigators looking to destabilize the order have caused conflict only sporadically throughout the history since the war, with the only major conflict of note being the Umbral Uprising 43 years ago. Thee uprising was brought about by cells of corrupted insurrectionists seeking to overthrow the balance and plunge the world back into the hands of chaos once more. Thankfully the faithful knights and Divine Prosecutors of Lumen were able to eventually seek out and dispatch these groups, restoring the world to peace and the current age of prosperity.
