Session 17 Report
General Summary
Lets keep it short today, yeah? Last we left off, the party had ventured down from their demi-dimensional room with the goal of eavesdropping on another Navy exchange with the casino. They began the day by heading to Untold Fortunes and learning some of what Marilka has in store for her. "Destruction follows in your wake, you are not disaster, but the bringer of such. Your absence is the monster you guard, death is where you do not touch." Wonder how that'll play out in the greater story. Afterwards, the party goes to drop some eaves in the Lobby. Wanting to be fully equipped for their Coup later in the day, they enter wearing their earmuffs and usual pirate gear that they retrieved from the Armory. They attempt to sneak their way into the room, but are immediately spotted by several Magidrones, including the PPE Drones about to pilot the elevator. Combat Starts. Many of the Magidrones begin to interface, attempting to alert the rest of the Casino of their hostile presence. Daeran blasts a drone behind the front desk with a firebolt, using his newly acquired Crackling Spell to swap it over to thunder damage, the weakness of the Magidrones. As the thunder firebolt strikes the Magidrone, it is snapped out of its concentration, its pending connection to the Well of Consciousness severed before it could get through. Amidst the combat, Marilka darts toward the elevator door, where one of the PPE drones is continuing with its directive to receive the Navy shipment and update them on the status of the Casino. Marilka makes it through the doors as they close and the elevator begins to descend. She attacks the PPE drone, causing it to lose concentration on the levitate spell it was using. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! YOUVE KILLED US BOTH," the magidrone cries as the elevator crashes a hundred feet toward the bilge. With a crash that rocks the boat, the large cage hits the ground, killing the magidrone instantly and knocking Marilka unconscious. As combat resolves upstairs around the same time, Toga heads to the elevator shaft and jumps down, activating his Celestial Revelation to spread his wings before hitting the ground. This is where we leave off, saving Marilka from a tad to little eaves, and a tad too much dropping.
