Session 13 Report
General Summary
After the events of last session's dramatic meet with Twilliam and sudden illness of Ryan Hinterland, the party begins the day by ordering the ingredients to form Sodium Hydroxide and, with the help of Daeran's charged channeling, processing it into the dangerous chemical. After going on a whole charade about dead bodies and what happens to them, the party test a theory ending in the discovery of the Oberon Disposal System™. After this dead end, they head to the Book Club to ask Katya if she knows of any helpful books. She shows them a book of potions not owned by the half blood prince (unfortunately). It has a strange ingredient called pale flesh. The group promptly bids Katya adieu as they head to the garden tour to request information. Discovering some crucial info about pale flesh, they head back to the rooms to check on their alkali cellulose. After a quick nappy, they arise and head straight to the sauna to gather coals for the production of Coke. There, Toga disrupts a match between Oshiro and an un-named challenger, costing him a rack. He is furious and chases him into the hallway, giving the party a moment to his most timid crewmate Mina Lightfoot. While Toga heads to the slots to try and win enough money to pay his debt to Captain Oshiro, the rest of the group heads to the kitchen. The party attempts to infiltrate the kitchen behind the cafe while Cedric distracts the magidrone. After a total breakdown in communication, the magidrone chefs are alerted and filled with a fear; a fear only a closeted, autistic drone with gloves could quell. Thankfully, Jonny Gold is on the case. He approaches and lets them know, things are going to be ok. Putting his crime scene investigation skills to use, he identifies the goal of the shady individuals plaguing the kitchen. To steal food. An absurd goal considering its practically free. He discovers fingerprints on a box of pale flesh and confiscates it as evidence, as he has seen Dirk Diamond do with Feenstein many a time. With the box in his abnormally sized pocket, he heads back to the Scavenger Hunt to investigate further. But as he steps out the door, who should emerge but Cedric Cadaver. It wasn't Jonny at all, but Cedric the whole time?! Even I, the narrator, was fooled by such a performance. Cutting back to Toga, he hits the slots hard. And by hits, I mean HITS. He puts half his money into a slot machine and fucking breaks it. Snaps the lever smooth off. But using the other half of his funds, he manages to break even. Meeting back up with the rest of the crew, they head to the Untold Fortunes to get their lucky up not their fucky up. They then head to the Oberon Theater, but out some quick fires and receive hair and a script from Ptelea Amaryllis for her next performance before heading to bed. The next week day the party concocts the cure for Ryan, managing to double, double toil and trouble, fire burn and caldron bubble up two extra potions of greater restoration. One of which they immediately put to use in the Garden Tour. On the way there, everyone's new favorite show, Brilliance in a Bag, airs its pilot episode. He quickly forges the Coal they gained into Coke for the next step of their chemical journey. Yeah Science! The party feeds the potion to freaky ahh Oberon and he is able to bear a fruit which he gifts to the party. "That's a little version of me Cedric. I want you to have it." The party gains the Apricot of Knowledge and unlocks a second question from Oberon. After retrieving Brilliance from the bag (Future episodes of Brilliance in a Bag to come) they begin processing the coke with sulfur to create Carbon Disulfide, which they seep the Alkali Cellulose in to create Sodium Cellulose Xanthate. I will now stop with the chemical names because they are hard, and you don't want to read them. Now they will age their forbidden honey for 4-5 days (or like 40 minutes) before they can weave it into Gamgee Thread. After it is threaded they will need to giga mega superheat it to... I said I wasn't gonna do more chemicals... make is big and strong. The party discovers that their Captain Alloy is actually the man from Ptelea's stories. He is _____ Alloy, King of the Fey. They confront him about this and are shocked by his emotional reaction. They then rush around to gather people to play in Ptelea's play. Chanel, Katya, Oshiro and Ryan. The story picks up on the dawn of their 11th week day at the casino. Hope they remembered to count the time until the next armory shipment! Would be a shame for THAT to sneak up on them!
