Herr Mephistopheles Verglast

Mephistopheles Antony Verglast is a former marquise of the Daevek Empire and the founder and previous Head of the Office of Pacts and Records. He is a patron deity to lawyers and con men alike holding dominion over contractual obligations and the terms of service.

He served as a Legate in the Dissolution Conflicts commanding the 21st Scout Legion for a majority of the war; earning the Champion of the Empire medal during the Gradko Offensive for the elimination of over three hundred enemy combatants over a two month period. During this period, he was also introduced to Corporal McHugh whom he would later partner with co-founding Republican Solutions years after the conflict had ended.

After the war had concluded, Verglast announced his retirement from both his political office and position as Head of the Office of Pacts and Records disappearing from public life. For the next few decades he built a small group of likeminded individuals with whom he convinced or bribed to support a new political movement.
