Beelzebub
Cardinal Beelzebub
Beelzebub, colloquially known as the Queen of Gluttony or the Lord of Indulgence is one of the seven Cardinals of Hell ruling over the Dominion of Urdolja and the Court of Flies. Being revered as one of the more mild mannered among her contemporaries, she is the cardinal of Indulgence, debauchery, hedonism, and revelry being the patron deity to both the celebrant and the drunk or addicted. Even the acts of ignorant mortals venerate her with their debauchery and vice, though her more astute followers engage in the most gruesome of festivities. She is a generous host and quite the cosmopolitan being well versed in nearly every walk of life and cultural distinction. The doors of her Synagogue of Vice are open for any and all of those who wish to partake in the hedonistic festivities.
As the embodiment of endless frivolity, Beelzebub can manifest items or substances of vice and compel even the dead to dance and sing in reverence, being able to read and rewrite their emotional auras. Her parties are of myth and legends and her indulgent feats are bested by no one from petty mortals or the higher beings of old.
History
Beelzebub was one of the leading apostles during the Apostate Insurrection leading beside her only equal, Lucifer Morningstar, the leader of the condemned armies. She was whom Lucifer confided in, trusted and respected, and with her one and seventh tenths of a million followers, was promised a kingdom that she may rule as she saw fit.
During the events leading up to the Exile of Man, Beelzebub took charge in Lucifer's stead as his most trusted and second in command. This short lived seat of leader of all daev kind saw continued development in and expanding out of Pandemonium laying the first stepping stones in the transition from an unorganized militia into a great imperial military. After the return of Lucifer from Eden, rule over the daev was returned with Beelzebub teaching to him all the progress leaving her oldest friend well pleased.
Beelzebub would take the role as advisor and Vice Grand Cardinal of Pandemonium in the early years of imperial expansion, claiming the realm that would become her domain of Urdolja. The first monument constructed under her authority was the Synagogue of Vice, an opulent structure where she would reside and rule from.
For the rest of her kingdom, she gave each of her six closest followers a section of her domain to nurture as she would and the first session of the Court of Flies with Duke Beleth serving as an advisor. From the terrible union gave the first statutes of Urdolja and from the ash and rubble, Beelzebub and her followers shaped a realm were they could cultivate and explore the deepest reaches of desire and gratification. Within this realm the arts flourished with musicians, performers, and culinary artists pushed the limits of experience striving to surpass the divinity they lost during the fall. Narcotics and psychoactive substances were used and abused throughout a majority of the realm with many denizens using them as both recreational drugs and ritual tools leading to some of the first Hedonistic Cults. The first aristocratic clans saw fit to cultivate the land, churning the oily dirt hidden deep under the ash into soil fit for agriculture; all inspired by the desire to indulge the pleasures of mortal life, pushing the limits of experience unbound by the word of their father.
During the first Kallad Rit, Beelzebub became reacquainted with Asmodeus having not spoken outside court affairs in decades. They quickly rediscovered their old repour bringing their comradery into their political affairs often supporting similar actions and writing several agreements and contracts between the two dominions.
Personality
Beelzebub is noted by many to be of mild temperament, at least in comparison of her contemporaries, and considerably approachable and amicable. She has a boundless appetite for all things of vice and encourages others to follow her example of self gratification with a convincing sense of certainty. While not being known to be cruel, she is still a petty and powerful god, responding to those who displease with ruthless aggression and fury.
