Detect Aura
Detect Aura is a divine spell bestowed by a deity or metaphysical entity, allowing the caster to sense divine influence and corruption in creatures, objects, and spells around them. By focusing on a creature’s aura, the caster may discern whether that being has been touched by an outside force divine, corrupt, or otherwise and in rare cases whether they have deviated from the natural order or risen beyond it.
A corrupted aura often belongs to those who have committed acts so severe that even the gods refuse to pardon them, or to individuals who have forged pacts with outsiders, punishers, or forbidden forces. Certain artifacts may also bear the marks of such power. However, not all corrupted auras indicate inherent evil; cursed individuals, rogue magic users, or beings who exist outside divine law may be classified as corrupt simply because they fall beyond the established order.
Likewise, the presence of a divine aura does not guarantee righteousness. History has shown that not all paladins and clerics act with pure intent. Detect Aura reveals the presence and strength of divine or corrupt influence, not morality. Judgment should never be rendered on this spell alone.
Effect
You can sense the presence of Aura. The amount of information revealed depends on how long you study a particular area or subject.
1st Round: Presence or absence of aura.
2nd Round: Number of corrupted or divine aura (creatures, objects, or spells) in the area and the power of the most potent aura present.
If an aura’s power is overwhelming (see below), and the HD or level of the aura’s source is at least twice your character level, you are stunned for 1 round and the spell ends.
3rd Round: The power and location of each aura. If an aura is outside your line of sight, then you discern its direction but not its exact location.

Aura Power
An aura’s power depends on the type of creature or object that you’re detecting and its HD, caster level, or (in the case of a cleric) class level; see the table below. If an aura falls into more than one strength category, the spell indicates the stronger of the two.Creature/Object Aura Power
