Ashton

Ashton is a sealed realm created during the War of Ascendancy , designed to imprison the Demon and separate them from Elema. Its original purpose was containment a controlled environment where these powerful beings could exist without threatening the world beyond.
At its creation, Ashton was shaped to resemble the demons’ place of origin. The realm mirrored familiar landscapes and climates, forming what was intended to be a stable and almost comforting replica of their former home.
However, due to the inherent corruption within the demons stemming from their connection to the corrupted deities the realm did not remain unchanged.
Over time, Ashton began to transform.
The magic that sustained the realm reacted to the demons’ altered forms and corrupted essence. The land itself shifted, reshaping its terrain, climate, and natural balance to reflect their new natures. Entire ecosystems evolved within Ashton, giving rise to unique plant life and creatures specifically adapted to this environment. These new forms of life serve as sources of sustenance, tools, and even extensions of the demons’ influence over the realm.
What was once intended to be a controlled replica of home has since become something far more unstable and dangerous.
Ashton is now divided into eight distinct regions, each shaped by and reflecting one of the eight demons. These areas embody their respective corruptions, altering not only the landscape but also the behavior of the creatures and energies within them.
