An Artist's Sanctuary
Lovers Retreat was the village dedicated to the creative arts; many artists and writers came from this village. This settlement was full of elves and humans joined to create the most beautiful creations imaginable. They had no official guild, but these artists were renowned throughout the realm.
Lover's Retreat was the newest addition to Astnyr's civilization. After Sonance settled into Singing Glades, many races complained that they didn't have their own artistic refuge. The gnomes had all reign on creative arts with music and dance in Singing Glades. Sonance listened to every grievance, then consulted Beight on what to do. Beight told her there was a stretch of land next to Singing Glades that could house an artistic haven. All races were welcome, and it was a massive success. In present time, Lover's Retreat was where writers and painters excelled.
Points of Interest
The current famous artist that lived in Lover's Retreat was a Half-Elf named Maria Stormwind. Her art was detailed with many nature pieces, almost like from a different world entirely. There was a world of deserts that no one in Astnyr seen before. Somehow, Maria knew where these places came from, calling the region she painted Helvol. She never explained the stories that came from these paintings, but the people appreciated the new visions, nonetheless. Most of her masterpieces were hung in the assigned art space. The images gave others inspiration in their work.
