Updraft

3.5th Edition
Detritus and loose debris on the ground beneath you begins to spin about, caught in a small vortex. The vortex quickly coalesces into a column of dirty gray-brown air thick enough to hold you aloft.   Updraft conjures forth rushing air that propels you upward. You gain 10 feet per level of altitude, and then gently float back down to the ground. At any point during your descent, you can move up to 5 feet laterally.   Material Component: A miniature propeller or windmill.

5th Edition
A swirling column of wind lifts you upward. You rise 20 feet, then immediately begin floating gently back down, descending at a rate of 60 feet per round. You take no falling damage from this descent. At any point while descending, you can move up to 5 feet horizontally. If you reach a solid surface before touching the ground, you may land there safely.   At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a higher level spell slot, increase the maximum ascent height by 20 feet for each slot level above its base level.
