Iron Cloud
Source: Elaris — Wysteria's Journey through Faerie
5th Edition
You create a 20-foot-radius sphere of finely ground cold iron filings centered on a point within range. The sphere spreads around corners, and its area is heavily obscured. The cloud makes it extremely difficult for creatures to breathe, and Fey find it deadly. Each creature that starts its turn in the cloud or enters it for the first time each turn must make a Constitution Saving Throw, taking 3d8 Slashing damage on a failure. A Fey creature that starts its turn in the cloud instead takes 4d6 Slashing damage on a failure, or half as much on a success. A creature that is not holding its breath begins to suffocate as the filings fill his or her lungs. The filings last the duration or until a wind of great speed (at least 25 miles per hour) disperses it. The iron filings begin to fall after the first round, sinking 5 feet down. Due to their weight, they sink to the lowest level of the land, pouring down den or sinkhole openings, or penetrating liquids.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a higher level spell slot, increase the damage by 1d8 or 2d6 (for Fey) for each slot level above its base level.
