You cause a sudden burst of growth at a point on the groun you can see. A thorned bush explodes from the ground, lashes around, then withers and dies. Any creature in a 5-foot Cube must make a Dexterity Saving Throw, taking 1d6 Piercing damage on a failure. The bush writhes for the duration, creating Difficult Terrain. Any creature entering the Difficult Terrain or starting its turn in it must make a Dexterity Saving Throw, taking 1d6 Piercing Damage on a failure.
This spell's initial damage and the damage from the Difficult Terrain increases at certain levels: 5th level (2d6 initial damage; 1d6 Difficult Terrain damage), 11th level (3d6 initial damage; 2d6 Difficult Terrain damage), and 17th level (4d6 initial damage; 2d6 Difficult Terrain Damage).
