Rockmore
So named for the Ogre and Hill-giant workers in the quarries here. According to legend, whenever their overseers from Eal demanded 'more rock', the workers would parrot the words in reply, unintentionally (or perhaps mockingly) getting them the wrong way around. Eal necromancers have long ago lost control of this outpost, but the oversized workers remain, and can still be seen today dragging massive chunks of sandstone to the dockyards before screaming their battlecry of 'Rockmore!!!', accepting their pay (usually hunks of salted meat from Soral), and turning away for another trip.
The quarry workers aren't fussy about where they source their rocks from, so locals have learned to construct most buildings out of timber. The richer folk will use Sungwood traded from the islands to the south-west. The forests to the north near the Springfield river delta also produce some of the finest fruit outside Eal, particularly oranges and other citris plants.
