Fort Dekner

Before the War of the Seeds, Fort Dekner was the posting no legionnaire ever wanted. It was remote, on the far western borders of the Empire. It was as hot as a posting to Na'Faish during the day, and terribly cold at night. It was dangerous, due to being right in the middle of Red Dragon territory. And if trouble ever did come to the fort, it was unlikely any help would arrive from Eal in time, assuming the ruling Mageocracy bothered to send help at all, as the fort was functionally little more than a forward warning station against an airborne assault from either the dragons or the elves in Tokmor.

Today, Fort Dekner is a minor but historical outpost of the Dinga Hills defences, particularly the Desert Roses, arguably the greatest light cavalry force the world of Elanora has ever known, and the Stubbornbeards, a combined elven, dwarven and human infantry force of mountain fighters and rangers. The climate is no more pleasant, but the people here now fiercely guard their own identity and independance from the Empire.
