Asmodeus, the Serpent God

Asmodeus answers the prayers of those who pursue ambition and domination for their own sake. It is a master of deception and can appear as anything however it always wears/carries a stylized gold devil mask. It appears to people and offers Wealth/power/weapons in exchange for a favor (the favor can be anything but is usually something evil) and once the favor is completed Asmodeus will turn up again and offer something else.

However it can only offer power through proxies, as it is forbidden by ancient contract from interfering with any plane of existence other than the Hells directly. In this way, it serves reality as both jailor and inmate. For it draws all like-minded souls to itself and rules them as King and God - but it can never leave.
