Day 22, Dysis 9, Year 352
- Cat-sith can give you the rundown on the contracts before you do, too, so you know what to expect!
- From Indrix the Hammer's Contract her attack is always a 25 to hit, she hits your highest weakness, and if you don't have a weakness, she applies weakness 5. Often wanders the mazes, hunting elementals. Hates Corrix, likes Ferrix because Ferrix is afraid of him.
- From Corrix the Shrewd's Contract, she can create 4 additional monsters as a single action. Creator of monster, in a relationship with a crafter near the weapons. Hates both other lieutenants.
- From Ferrix the Immovable's Contract, she has resistance 25 to all damage. Ferrix spends a fair bit of time with the thralls. Hates Indrix, likes Corrix.
- Mechanics
- Center is a mazelike area that requires a survival check, but can be used as a hub to move to any other point.
- You know where the secret entrance to Lyara's tower is, so at any point you can decide 'fuck it, we've done enough, let's go try it'
- The camp has states of alert, there'll be more patrols and more dangerous enemies the more that, say, people find bodies or there are wild explosions.
- Lyara's got three lieutenants, each of which grant her a tremendous amount of power by virtue of having a contract in place of their hearts. They wander around, but have tents where they can reliably be found.
- Whatever is going on is clearly not going to kick off in the next few days.
- Sneak over to the arcane engine/food supplies. Drop some lethargy poison in there.
- Go to check out the arcane rune. Attacked by some trolls. They open a gateway and Corrix comes through.
- We kick his ass.
- Mask is given to Akito.
- Cirina cuts out the contract from Corrix's heart.
- Akito sends a message to Harbinger.
- Cirina uses Guiding Star to notify Ponpiketes.
- Sneak around to the warehouse.
- Potions: mind swap, blight breath, dragonfly potion > Situational, I'll pocket for now?
- 2 x Oil of Keen Edges > Vasia?
- 7 x Healing Potion, Lesser > I think should be split among you four.
- Javelin of Lightning > Neesja

Assassination, New Combatants, and the Immovable - 10/18/25
Quietly, the Harlequins moved into Lyara’s camp, angling towards a strange rune in the north. Cirina’s deft pathfinding got them through the shifting snows, and the others set to guarding while Cirina began reworking the rune to summon a potential ally.
Unfortunately, the sigil’s defenders - twisted, trollish constructs, pale imitations of their lieutenants - pulled themselves from the crystal. They were quickly set upon, but not before a gateway could be opened and Corrix the Shrewd stepped through.
A battle was quickly joined, Corrix’s skills at catching rocks and fleshcrafting not enough to keep him alive. With little fanfare, the Queen’s Fleshwarper met his end under the piercing spines of Vasia’s cloth.
Moving quickly, Akito used the modified rune and Wand of Message to pretend to be a servant of Harbinger, insulting their old enemy to draw him into the fight, before they crept off to patch wounds and await his arrival.
Meanwhile, the Ghosts took out the arcane defenses keeping Ponpiketes’ aid at bay, rocks impacting the camp moments after Cirina signalled him. This came to a head as Harbinger arrived, and though his initial attack was fought off - at great cost to the infantry - a cult of Rovagug emerged from the dark on the other side of the camp, scampering forward in mad fury at their Prophet’s behest.
The Harlequins quickly looted the warehouse Cat-sith had spotted, pilfering potions, staves and whatever else they could find that was useful, before moving to catch and engage another of Lyara’s lieutenant.
Ferrix the Immovable, come down from the tower in the midst of the night to investigate the chaos. The Harlequins attacked, launching a full volley that only barely managed to catch the Frost Knight’s attention. Helmet askew from Neesja’s distraction, Ferrix seemed to find something distasteful in Radjic’s approximation of a Knight and declared he’d kill him before the women.
