Day 19, Dysis 6, Year 352
- Moth lady shows up. Some sort of altered humanoid.
- Hypercompe Scribonia, Scrybbe the Emissary of Lyara.
- Remorhaz shows up. Cirina is almost swallowed whole. She resists. Athletics queen.
- Scrybbe gets her face smashed in.
- Her patron remakes her and the pet into one thing. Scrybbe, Refashioned.
- Defeat her.
- Akito removes pieces of her wings with runes to get cold away from Lyara.
- Ghosts going to hide in our shadows as we make our way to the goblin village.
- Continue onward.
- Locate the abandoned town and a wall of iron settlement beyond.
- Arrive at Goblintown, Iero.
Evan's Session Report
An Offer Refused, New Allies Discovered
As it turns out, the Harlequins and Lyara’s Emissary did not wind up settling things peacefully. As it became increasingly clear that the only offers were submission or abandonment of the quest, things escalated towards a fight. Once joined, Lyara’s pet burst from beneath the ground, forcing the party to fight on two fronts.
Though multiple people found themselves swallowed, bitten, chewed on, sliced, or otherwise harmed, the party managed to drop the Emissary, causing the pet to burst out and attempt to return to her. As it did, Lyara’s hand reached through the fabric of the world, quickly reconfiguring the pair into a new monstrosity.
This also died. Quickly.
The Harlequins are a terrifyingly effective force when they put their minds to it.
Afterwards, parts were harvested to create wards against the impossible cold. Clothing was mended, charms were attached, and the group set out in search of new allies. They quickly found the settlement to the southwest, rumored to be entirely composed of goblins.
Akito disguised himself as a goblin, hoping they’d see him as a kindred spirit; but as the group approached a shout went up: “Harlequins returning!”, and ladders were thrown down for the group to enter a place more welcoming than they had expected.
