Evan's Session Report

The Harbinger of Rovagug - Dysis 2

With the cult defeated, the Harlequins made ready to descend the mountain. Before they had made it particularly far, however, a shape began to descend from the sky, quickly resolving into dark wings and a reptilian frame. Harbinger, the being that Justice Sina was in service to, landed in a clearing, eager to see what had disrupted the Netherworld portal. Akito was, unfortunately, spotted, and chose to attempt to grovel rather than flee. Vasia saved Akito’s life by causing a distraction, and the unleashing of breath that would have struck Akito instead blew apart a section of forest, and the party fled away from Harbinger. The flight was not an easy one, as Harbinger quickly gave chase. A few more gouts of shadow, and the Harlequins were hurtling downhill, as much attempting to outrun the rockslide as the ancient dragon. Additional rockslides were caused, some incredibly keen-eyed strikes managed to actually damage the Harbinger, Vasia and Neesja spent a while dancing on the dragon’s back, poisoning it and removing several of the valuable objects stuck into its hide. After Cirina spotted a particularly precarious rock, Radjic was able to drop it onto the Harbinger, stunning him for long enough that the party could escap - aided further by Vasia’s tremendous speed and doubling back to acquire a raccoon-form Radjic. Slipping away through the caves, they returned to Bourrah and to Gaitha’s house, planning to speak further in the morning but, for the moment, retiring for baths and a good night’s rest.
