The dippleberry, also known as dipples, bogberries, or saltberries, is a fruit exclusively cultivated in the coastal town of Bastor. The bushes spread their roots deep into the brackish waters, while their foliage and berries extend above the surface.

As the berries approach ripeness, they are gently shaken from their branches, allowing them to fall into the water below. This submersion serves as the final stage of their ripening process. The fully matured dippleberries offer an intriguing blend of flavors: a primary taste that balances the savory richness of salt with a subtly sweet undertone. If left unshaken, the berries remain on the bush and develop a firmer texture, eventually producing seeds.
