Creating a new character
Character Concept
Channel your inner nerd and come up with something spectacular. You can always develop your character later, but having something to start is always a plus. You can find list of races & classes accessible in Deia on their respective pages, but you can always message me on facebook to recieve help.Questionnaire
Copy, complete & send to me your character questionnaire to earn bonus feat points & further develop your character. More backstory results in more characters & facts from the past of your character appearing in the game.Few words about your character
Filling up this section is a must, but you'll gain 1 feat point for completing it. For a good start.Quick Questions
Those are quick, so I'll be quick. 1 feat point for completion.Family, Friends & Enemies
If You will come up with atleast 3 developed characters & 3-6 less defined ones I'd mark it as done and reward You with 1 feat point. Feel free to add more though, it makes my life easier & the game will have a higher probability of featuring one of those characters in the future.Home, sweet home
Filling up quick questionare is fine, but if You wanna earn the last feat point You will need to ask me about your choosen location & add something to it. It may be description of your household, fun rummors about neighbourhood, or long tale about rulling dynasties. Lets do it together.Core Mechanics
Ability Scores
Use unmodified chicken-dinner point buy tool to generate your statistics. I suggest leaving racial bonuses out of the picture for now - those are slightly different on Deia.Race
Pick a race which works best with your concept. Remember that You can always talk with me to tweek it a little bit, if it doesn't work with your concept.Class
Pick a class which works best with your concept.Backgrounds
Pick a background from 5e.tools list. Alternatively choose a profession from Grim Hollow Campaign Guide page 76 if you picked Improved backgrounds as your bonus progress path.Feats
Each new character starts with 2 feat points, which can be used to furter customize & power up your character. With each level up your character will unlock new points, so don't feel pressured to spend them all at once. You may also unlock more points by completing side-missions detailed in character concept section.Bonus Progress Path
Choosing your progress path adds another layer to the game & gives character different ways to improve. Because of that it requires You to spend 2 feat points to unlock it. Each character can choose only one of those paths.Deities inspired by Theros piety system
Page 34 from Mythic Odysseys of Theros describes in detail how to earn favor with your choosen God. Specific actions will slowly increase or decrease your favor with one of gods present on Deia. You can expect access to bonus spells or perks as well as stat increases upon reaching maximum piety with your god.Improved backgrounds inspired by Grim Hollow
Page 76 from Grim Hollow Campaign Guide describes in detail how to advance in your profession, tied with initialy choosen background. You'll gain bonus feats & missions connected with this profession as well as profession die (ranging from d4 to d10) to specific activities tied with your background.Dragonmarks inspired by Eberron
Page 38 from Eberron Rising from the Last War describes the idea of Dragonmarks - special sigils appearing on characters body & unlocking access to new abilities. Marks come with power & a price to pay. Those marks replaces some abilities tied with your race or subrace with access to magical spells normally unaccessible to your class. You will work with me to determine the nature & effect of your mark & tie it to your clan of origin.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
