Purpose
The city council was created to lighten the workload of the monarch. Each member has their own special area of expertice in which they can advice and act for new laws in Darta. When the council was first created, it was only a council which advised the ruler without any actual ruling power. But nowadays they have tangible power to implement their own laws and codes, together with the rest of the council and the monacrh.
Social Status
The council members are one of the closest positions under the monarch, considering the power they wield. The members are celebrities in their own right, especially known in the capital Orebo where they sit.
Kids are taught about memorable historic eyes (seats/members) in school, as well as many important changes they have introduced. In some schools, especially those that are in the same filed as the council eyes, students get to try out a model of how the council works. This both to strengthen the understanding of the council, and to prepare those who want to join the council later on.
Operations
Workplace
The council's place of work is mostly set in The Royal Castle. Depending on which post the councilmember have, they are on the offices more or less. The Eye of Trade spends a lot of time out in the filed, for example making sure that Trader's Bay is up to the correct standards. The Eye of Coin can be found in their office the majority of the time.
