Academy Teacher
Career
Qualifications
One must have a pedagogical education to qualify as a teacher at the Academy, to ensure the quality of education. A subject to teach is also important. A wide variety of subjects are taught at the Academy, not only military specific ones. A few examples are economics, healthcare, and diplomacy.
Career Progression
The steps to become a teacher at the Academy can be very different. Some come from other forms of education, some from exemplary service (like from the military), or directly from ones own education.
Deopending on what subject the teacher is involved in, different progressions might be viable forward. One might get the chance to progress to a private teacher amongst the nobility and/or the royal family.
Payment & Reimbursement
Teachers at the Academy are payed well. Money comes from the Academy's many cooperation projects, like the Orebo city guard and them delivering body guards and other staff to the royal castle.
Operations
Workplace
Teachers have their offices on the Academy campus. Most offices are grouped together, and are situated close to the classrooms where they hold their lectures. Many of the new teachers start out in a shared office with 2 or 3 other teachers, while those more established get their own private room. The size of the office can depend on the status of the teacher.
The offices are not made to live in, but teachers may stay up late nights to finish work. If they are in need of living quarters the Academy can provide a room, but that is mostly seen as an emergency fix, as those rooms are usually made for students and not the most luxurious ones.
