Pripyan

Pripyan is a tiny town on the outskirts where the Xarnahk Empire meets the Drakesbreath Swamp. It is a dilapidated backwater with a population of about 40 people. Life is tough within Pripyan. Most of the town is self-sufficient, with carpenters, masons, farmers, and any other jobs necessary in a small town. Otherwise, the town doesn't have much else. The town is technically a part of the Xarnahk empire, but this seems only apply on tax day. Other resources from the empire are seldom available.
The people of Pripyan are generally miserable, but they are proud of their town and refuse to relocate. They defend their town intensely despite agreeing with its obvious shortcomings.
The town does not have (or need) formal leaders. Though they have no formal governing body, the town looks to their elders for guidance. The eldest and wisest in Pripyan is the old woman known as Baba Triga. Nobody knows how old Baba Triga truly is, but she is widely viewed as the matriarch and protector of the hamlet. She has been an old lady for as long as anyone in the town can remember and her word is taken very seriously.
