Kruangrell Talismans

The The Kruangrell Barbarian Horde are a merciless group of nomadic Goliaths who scour the Amber Plains seeking treasure to gift to their gods.
Each family leader possesses a necklace with any number of talismans passed down from their ancestors. These talismans link the great warriors of the past back to this world. Thus, the Goliaths call call upon the power of their ancestors in battle and in times of prayer. These talisman could be anything special to the person's prowess. Some are the teeth of lions they slew. Others are coins from travelers they robbed. Some are carved wooden figures.
When an eldest child comes of age and joins their first raid, the father creates his talisman and passes it on, creating the child's first necklace. When the second eldest does the same, it's the mother's turn. When a man dies, his oldest child receives his necklace of talismans. When a woman dies, the second oldest receives hers. Thusly, the power of the horde's past warriors are passed down, joining with the strength of the current warriors.
Chieftains and grand chieftains also have a separate necklace of talismans that have been passed from leader to leader as the generations pass. If you see a barbarian with a necklace laden with many trinkets, it's best you run.
