The Floating City Shildtuga

Basic History

Early Years

During Shildtuga's very early years, it was believed that they were a pack species, travelling with several others of their species. By the time humans had evolved most of this species had died, Shildtuga remained. Humans built a large city on Shildtuga, becoming the earliest summoners. As the number of humans in the city increased, so too did the radius of Shildtuga's power, thus this was one of the first two magical circles.

Dominion

Shildtuga held dominion over both the city and those in the surrounding seas.

Deitic War

During the Deitic war, Shildtuga practiced a policy of overwhelming self-defense. This means that they were incredibly fortified, with almost every building in the city being repurposed to hold cannons, this made it so that it could eviscerate fleets in seconds alone, not to mention it's own fleet surrounding the city.

Clothing

The thing that could be considered the most like clothing for Shildtuga was the city, literally referred to as Shildtuga.

Physical

Physically, shildtuga took on the appearance of a massive sea turtle, similar to a leatherback, with a city on their back. Shildtuga from front to back was six miles long with around ten square miles of inhabited space on their back. Additionally, they were usually surrounded by a large fleet of ships.

Likes and Dislikes

Likes

Shidtuga enjoyed whale (as a delicacy.) In addition, they enjoyed conversation learning to communicate with their human companions albeit slowly.

Dislikes

Isolation, annoying little humans, and having to eat ships, which was a combat tactic commonly used in their defense.

Tendencies

They tended to be a quiet individual, likely as a requirement of their inability to communicate with humans effectively and lack of their fellow species. The insights they did offer were described as surprisingly intelligent and were a tactical advantage during the defense of Shildtuga.

Strict philosophical perspectives

Shildtuga didn't really adopt a human-like philosophical perspective, rather opting to see the world in an eat or be eaten fashion. As such most relationships are either mutualistic or parasitic from Shildtuga's perspective

Shildtuga's main ability was to transport many people, things, or creatures. This is a magic known as "summoning" in the modern day, as one can imagine a near limitless use of this is extremely tactically and combat useful. During the defense of Shildtuga this was used to retrieve cannon balls, people, and summon reinforcements which made Shildtuga a defensive bastion.

Shildtuga was symbolized by a skyline but is less worshiped or symbolized due to still being alive.
