Qualifications
- Characters need an INT of 13 at the least.
- Mastery over standard engineering, which can take between 18 - 24 months.
- Familiarity with sculptury and 1000 hours with the practice materials: clay, stone or wood.
- Ten year apprenticeship related to metallurgy.
- Theoretical understading of square mathematics.
Perception
Purpose
Artificer is a specialty carver who carves precise squares into metals and other materials to magically bind properties or energy to inanimate objects.
Social Status
Artificers are generally a step above a common smith, but unless they are particularly famous or have a rich patron, they would not be regarded as such on a regular basis.

Various types of fine metalwork are used for carving, chipping or cutting wood, stone or other metals softer than them.
Materials
Artificers work with a variety of volatile materials like acids and caustic substances. Though not always necessary for a project, some crafters wish to control every step of the quality and would melt and cast their own alloys.

Artificery
Any respectable workshops is huge and semi-underground, with heavy timber beams and thick stone walls. Factory-scale ones have rows of high-heat smelting areas, roaring fires and cooling vats; and workbenches for glassblowers, joiners and other specialists.
