Unblinking Eye
One of very few once independent organizations begun in a single duchy only to set its roots in most other regions of the nation with the support of the Claret Covenant. The Unblinking Eye was first formed as a knightly chapter under a different name: the Order of Seraph Nelrinthra. It was named in honor of one of the great seraphs that joined the Queen in her ascension at the end of the War of Setting Suns known as the All-Seeing and the Seraph of Order, and whose bloodline is claimed to rule the northernmost duchy of Trandrafia, Hotaria.
The Unblinking Eye is made up of both diplomatic members who become noble advisors and knights who deal more directly with clear threats of outside influence. While a noble advisor of the Eye will spend their career among the nobility seeking signs of meddling of outside powers, the knights of the Eye are the weapon that often deals with the threats found, seen leading incursions into the wilderness, dark streets, or very rarely into estates themselves to root them out.
Structure
Under the command of the Spectators are the members of the organization commonly referred to as "steeleyes" who bear one of two purposes: intermingle with the nobility as advisors and cunning sentinels against Outside influences, and the protection of the nobility and its people from the threat of Outside forces, including - only as a last resort - the elimination of compromised individuals.
Relationship with the Covenant
Though they are not members of the Covenant's official body, some of the Pontiffs have granted estate rights to the Unblinking Eye from their granted lands within the duchies. This is seen as a mutually beneficial situation for both parties as it gives the Eye a headquarters in the region and allows the Covenant to keep an eye on their operations more closely. The benefits of the Unblinking Eye have given them certain privillages and support by the Covenant, however the Covenant has denied them any seat within Zeitaresti and the Eye has shown no desire to become a chapter within the organization of the Claret Covenant, straining relations a bit at times. The relations between members are uneasy at times due to the agenda of the Eye sometimes acting without the authority of the Covenant, especially when they do so against a noble or attempt to exert any power against a member of the clergy.Public Agenda
