God Meat is the flesh that is carved from the immense God-Beast Behemoth; this huge living mountain is kept in a constant torpor by an endless supply of sedatives fed into it on an industrial scale lest it awaken from its torpor and resume its apocalyptic rampage upon the world.

The denizens of Behemoth consume God-Meat regularly, along with the fruits and vegetables of the jungle and those created by a carefully crafted cocktail using the God-Beasts blood. The flesh regrows quickly though the butchers who harvest it ensure no single area is used for long periods of time, giving Behemoth time to heal.
The meat is prepared in a number of different ways with smoking being popular, providing a long-lasting jerky. The more gastronomical like to fry it with vegetables, others will bake it with slow roasting being considered one of the best methods of bringing out its true potential.
The meat is not particularly pleasant, with outsiders claiming it to be rather fibrous and bitter and a heavy amount of spices is used to make it palatable.
The God Skin
A byproduct of the butchering process, the skin of Behemoth is used to make clothing that the people wear. Some make elaborate costumes to honour their God, and such attire is often quite disturbing to first-time visitors with a plethora of horns and claws taken from creatures of the jungle and the internal parasites of Behemoth added.
Behemoth is a creature from another Realm, an alien God-Beast. Thus the consuming of its flesh is not without its side effects. Prolonged consumption will cause a gradual shift in personality, with an increasing reluctance to leave Behemoth and an almost cult-like adoration of the sleeping titan. Physically, its consumers become pale and thin but remarkably strong and resilient. It also grants longevity and there are those dwelling within Behemoth who are centuries old, though most are now part of its body after fusing with it.
In spite of its dangers, God-Meat is in great demand beyond Behemoth's borders with alchemists eager to see what properties it possesses and the rich and powerful eager to consume the flesh of a God.
