Waveriders

The Waveriders are the oldest existing pirate fleet. They control the illicit trade and plunder of roughly 20% of the oceans. Through the use of hulls enhanced by magic, they have the fastest ships in the ocean.
Many of the captains of the Waveriders came with their leader from a tight knit subgroup within the thieves guild of Rozhchuesh decades ago. They felt they weren't getting their fair share so decided to leave Rozhchuesh in the most convenient way—a ship. They took over that ship, kept a few of the hands to help them learn the art of sailing, and the rest is history.
