The Khaldai capital of Telkara is divided into many districts, each one a neighborhood with its own flavor and purpose.
Qadira Rimah - Old City Quarter
Inside the walls where the old Zuratha Fortress used to be.- Zurathin Vara (District of Zuratha) - lower merchant class area
- Zahirin Jira (House of Flowers) - working class brothel
- Talmarin Tisra (The Talmar's Whisper) - Unremarkable rug shop. Mention that your aunt told you the blue dye doesn't fade.
- Nasarin Vara (District of the Breeze) - Merchant housing district
- Kutharin Vara (District of the Scribes) - Scribes, translators, and paper-makers, old admin district
- Nukrin Jira (House of the Basin) - The original public bathhouse of Telkara, named for the central carved stone basin that still stands.
- Safra Vara (Yellow District) - Sculptors, mosaic artists, metalworkers, perfume-blenders, and calligraphers
- Nurin Rahba (The Courtyard of Light) - "The Lanterns" for short, half public square, half ongoing performance
- Hinara Vara (Patchwork District) - Working class, small but lively second-hand market
- Tirahin Vara (District of the Shrine) - The old religious district before the big temple complex was built
- Jabirin Nirah (Ward of the Hill) - Marginal district, on a slope
- Layrin Nirah (Ward of the Gate) - Marginal district, just outside the Old City, near old north road
Sahrin Rimah - Dock Quarter
Industrial areas near the river docks- Sinarin Vara (District of Craft) - Artisan and industry zone for glassblowing, enameling, jewel-setting, lamp-making, pottery, blacksmithing
- Rukkarin Vara (District of Porters) - Stables, donkey yards, low inns for caravan workers
- Fajrin Vara (District of the Dawn) - Working class residential
- Mawasharin Vara (District of the Herds) - Butchers, stockyards
- Makharin Vara (District of the Storehouses) - Crates, rope, shaded alleys, and grumbling guards
- Rawahrin Vara (District of Aromas) - Tannery, dyers, perfume-makers, other smelly stuff
- Thivrin Nirah (Ward of the Docks) - Marginal area near the piers
- Jalrahin Nirah (Ward of the Boat) - Marginal area near Makharin Vara, well known for smuggling routes
- Qilvara Nirah (Flooded Ward) - Marginal area at the water's edge, near Rawahrin Vara
Darsilin Rimah - Quarter of the Crossing
Commercial and residential areas surrounding the main bridge and market- Zavirin Vara (District of the Awnings)- Caravanserais, beast pens, near the North Road
- Naharin Vara (District of the Palms) - Shabby-genteel area home to many retired scholars and tutors.
- Nalgarim Kharif (Nalgar Market) - Market District
- Kinrahin Rahba (Courtyard of Bounty) - Produce
- Taribin Rahba (Courtyard of Delights) -Food sellers
- Harima Rahba (The Red Courtyard) - Spices
- Karaziyahn Mida (Threadworkers’ Square) - Textiles, etc.
- Ravahin Harun (House of Ease) - Bathhouse located in the Tarib Rahba
- Karazin Vara (District of Thread) - Tailors, dyers, rope-makers, silk vendors, upholstery houses
- Iramisin Vara (District of Iramis) - Bridge district ,commercial/mercantile
- Nuranin Biran (Bridge of Two Lights) - Main bridge of Telkara, officially Iramisin Biran (The Bridge of Iramis)
- Matarin Vara (District of Rain) - Working class residential
- Savarin Jira (House of Steam) - Bathhouse
- Yasirin Vara (District of Jasmine) - Unassuming neighborhood with inns, salons, coffeehouses, and discreet companionship
- Maralin Vara (District of the Wayfarers) - Visitor/inn district
- Mahrin Thara (The Pilgrims’ Way) - The main stretch of road, where pilgrims are catered to
- Khudra Vara (Green District) - Esoteric shops, small temples, and fringe spiritual figures
- Zawalin Nirah (Ward of Tents) - Marginal district, overflow from Zavirin Vara
- Nalgarin Nirah (Ward of the Nalgar) - Marginal district on the river's edge near Matarin Vara
Jadira Rimah - New Quarter
Public, administrative, and wealthy districts in the eastern portion of the city- Zaharin Vara (District of Jewels) - Home to the Mahada families and the pleasure palace

- Kahranin Rahba (Plaza of the Arch) - Contains Mirathin Kahran (Arch of the Inheritance) or the "Mirror Gate"
- Khalidin Zirah (Garden of the Eternal Ones) - Private garden for the Mahada, very formal
- Hilarin Vara (District of the Crescent) - Noble District, elegant estates
- Nujarin Jira (House of Stars) - Elite bathhouse, invitation only
- Mulafin Jasra (The Veiled Garden) - Brothel located discreetly near the palace district
- Sihrin Vara (District of Records) - Administrative district
- Madarin Harunath (Hall of the City) - Central administration for the city
- Rahmin Rahba (Plaza of Grace) - Large open courtyard near Madarin Harunath
- Hisabin Harunath (Court of Judgment) - High courthouse
- Mizanin Nivara (Courtyard of Balance) - Courtyard in front of Hisabin Harunath
- Salsalin Khazir (Vault of Lineage) - Records of Mahadan genealogy
- Sihrin Khazir (Vault of Records) - All government records not delegated elsewhere
- Maharin Vara (District of Skill) - Guild Halls
- Karazin Harun (Hall of Threads) - Guild of threadworkers
- Riharin Harun (Hall of Fragrance) - Oversees perfume blending, incense crafting, and scent preservation
- Nakhirin Harun (Hall of Flavor) - Spice-blenders' guild
- Hadirin Harun (Hall of Iron) - Blacksmiths, weaponsmiths, toolmakers
- Zujarin Harun (Hall of Glass) - Guild of glassblowers, mirror-makers, and sand artists
- Mizarin Harun (Hall of Scales) - Weighmasters, coin testers, gem appraisers
- Khatarin Harun (Hall of the Pen) - Oversees both artistic calligraphy and formal document production
- Riwarin Harun (Hall of Performance) - Performers’ guild
- Sirashin Vara (District of the Divine) - Temple Complex
- Hikarin Vara (District of Wisdom)- Scholars' district, dedicated to Ithamir
- Mahfuzin Harun (House of the Scrolls) - Great Library
- Ithamarin Talra ( School of Ithamir) - Elite academy and training ground for scribes, historians, and bureaucrats.
- Furqanin Khazir (Vault of Judgment) - Legal archive of oaths, contracts, property deeds, and judgments.
- Tadarbin Rahba (Court of Reflection) - A public square for lectures, philosophical debates, and legal oratory.
- Halanin Ismira (Observatory of Halan) - Observatory using pre-Shattering technology, "Halan" is inscribed on the metal, its meaning is unknown.
- Riwarin Vara (District of Performance) - Theaters, concert halls, and street buskers
- Kalimin Rahba (Court of the Word) - Poetry performances
- Nughmin Thara (Street of Melody) - Singing and instrumental performances
- Hilarin Harun (Crescent Hall) – The oldest formal stage in town
- Duzarin Harun (House of Masks) – More exclusive theater
- Kalimin Jira (House of the Word) - Coffee house
- Wardin Rosha (The Rose Brew) - Reputable coffeehouse and music salon, brothel
- Riyarin Vara (District of the Blossoms) - An upscale, peaceful neighborhood, Public gardens, shaded walkways, fountains
- Sabilin Jasra (Gardens of the Fountains) - Informal park, open to the public, near the canal and Sirashin Vara
- Wardin Jira (House of Roses) - Upscale bathhouse

- Teshurin Nahrin (Canal of the Teshuran)- Main Canal, New Quarter and Crossing Quarter
- Azhurin Nahrin (Canal of Azhura) - Ceremonial Canal, New and Crossing Quarters
- Kharin Nahrin (Canal of the Market)- Market Quarter Canal
- Zahirin Nahrin (Canal of Flowers) - Dock Quarter Canal
- Zurathin Nahrin (Canal of Zuratha) - Old City Quarter
- Kharan (The Cisterns) - The largest, oldest cisterns in Telkara, located beneath the Old City
