Austin Smith is a member of the Lumeris Knighthood who has been assigned to accompany the hero’s party. He is a quiet, thoughtful knight who believes strongly in doing the right thing, even when the path forward is difficult.
He joined the knighthood to protect the kingdoms from the cruelty and evil of the empire. Though he does not seek glory or recognition, Austin carries a deep sense of duty and wants to help defend those who cannot protect themselves.

As a knight of Lumeris, Austin wants to protect and free the kingdoms from the empire’s control. He became a knight because he saw it as an honorable way to serve others and protect innocent people from the tragedies he has read about in stories—and the few horrors he has seen with his own eyes.
His goal is simple but deeply held: to help as many people as he can, stop the empire’s cruelty, and become strong enough that his silence never keeps him from doing what is right.
