Washizu Eclipseborn Sumarr
Washizu Eclipseborn is the current Dragon Emperor of the Sumarrian Empire, having recently inherited the position after his father's assassination and defending his claim against two of his siblings in Sun Duels. Since ascending to the throne he has ended the war in the Shattered Sea and instead focused all his attention on the VCG, the dwarven nation that had invaded a continent of humans and were forcing their religion on them. He launched the second dwarven advance on D Day, the D stands for Dwarf. In blatant violation of the ancient laws of the Order of Mizzet he used teleportation circles to bring his entire army into the largest cities in the VCG. After 18 years of tense stalemate he ended the war in 1 week, on Double D day (the other D stands for Dragon). On that day he hosted a conference in Brickerton which drafted the Double D Accords. Leading the creation of six new nationsBrickerton, Deltora, Nessien's Wood, The North Lord's Alliance, Southfield, and the Greenland Dwarf Alliance
Wahizu faced a second trial a few years later. His father had been cursed with a magical illness, believed to be the work of the shattered sea resistance. To save his father Washizu traveled to what was once known as the Valley of Shadows. There he restored the Pyramid of Zolmov and saved a baby Sun Dragon, the first born in centuries, from poachers and hunters. He brought the holy dragon back home and it healed his dying father. Unfortunatley his father died later that year, assassinated by agents of the Shattered Sea Resistance. Washizu saw past the anger though and instead of inflicting his rage upon the halfling and gnomes of the shattered sea recognized that sumarria was the aggressor in that war. Instead he channeled his grief and the Sumarrian war machine into the VCG.
The Struggles
Washizu was born into the imperial family, who are directly descended from Sumarr, a demigod of Zolmov. Everyone in his family was born with or developed demigod like powers of the sun, everyone except for him. When he reached 16 he went on a pilgrimage with his holy advisor Sun Sage Beauregard, their bodyguard Kuzon the halfling knight, and a gambler from the Great House of Ignation. Four gates to the Feywild had opened around the world and he was tasked with closing them. On his journey the gambler died and he met two new companions, the minotaur farmer Nanlaus and the dragon Monk Tachi. On this journey he tried his hand statecraft, forming a forest of fey and talking animals into a small semi-independent nation that is still recognized by the Empire today. He also helped the elves and refugees in Nessien's Wood strike a critical blow against the Bloodberg Clan of dwarven vampires who were endlessly raiding their forest. Most importantly though he met the Firfolk. A Khanrathi Clan that isn't very violent and doesn't actually worship Khanrath. Instead they revere nature, the old gods, and the inner fire. It is here that Washizu learned to manifest his soul into a fiery form outside his body and he came into his own as a descendant of Sumarr. It is also where he met his future wife Thiala, a woof elf of the Firfolk tribe who was both tutor and friend.Wahizu faced a second trial a few years later. Palace Life
After the signing of the Double D Accords Washizu returned to Sun's Last, some say to rest on his laurels, others say he is plotting his next move on the global stage. Possibly against Bastion or Zirdy as he strongly dislikes slavery. Now he lives at the palace with his Wife Thiala Firfolk and his three children Zuko, Kuzon, and Zanthae.
