The Great Protector
The Great Protector is one of the old gods, though his name is forgotten he still has many active worshippers. He is pictured as a giant in overgrown armor wielding two spiked tower shields covered in vines. In ancient times he was worshipped largely in northern Zirdy but also by people living in forested mountains all over the world. Today he is worshipped very little in the wider world, The Noble and Most Ancient House of Thalendir maintains a shrine to him, there is evidence of his worship amoung the wood elves of the Khanrathi, and small pockets of worship on the shattered sea.
Parvis
By far the greatest concentration of worshippers is in the Kingdom of Parvis. Before the Deliverance the Great Protector sent a prophet named Parvis to a valley of his favored worshippers, warning them of the war to come. This prophet was made the village chief and they built ships to flee the coming conflict, sailing south into the storms. There they found and island that the Great Protector had prepared for them and created their kingdom. This kingdom continues to remain a secret from the rest of the world. They only worship the Great Protector, forsaking all other gods, and view themselves as his chosen people who one day shall defend the world.Divine Domains

Holy Books & Codes
The Scrolls of Protection. Written by the prophet Parvis, the Scrolls of Protection are the guiding work and founding principles of the Church of The Great Protector within the Kingdom of Parvis.
The Spiked Tablets. In the ancient days long before the Deliverance the principles of the Great Protector were engraved upon enchanted wooden tablets. They were known to hurt the hands of any who hold them who were not true worshippers, thus The Spiked Tablets. Most of them have been destroyed or lost, some through the Deliverance, others through time and random chance. A few have found there way back to light, found in ruins or in the hands of northern Khanrathi. One can be found in the St. Wright collection, another with the Thalendirs, and the last is in the hands of House Green.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
A pair of spiked shields is his most common symbol, though sometimes it is replaced with an overgrown helm.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
It is known that the Great Protector is trying to protect the world from something, some great threat that has yet to break the horizon. What this threat is is unkown but based upon his teachings and principles it is clear he expects mankind to be the underdog.
Those high up in the Church of The Great Protector on Parvis believe that it is his goal to create the perfect hero of mankind to face off against this threat, thus their careful crossing of bloodlines.
