NaMAHo Ostoroth
The Noble and Most Ancient House of Ostoroth is known for its swordsmiths. They work in mithril and feel it is almost a holy art to shape it, it is generally believed that mithral was put on this world by God for the elves. They aren't particularly devout in any other aspect of their life. They have accumulated a large amount of wealth and political power using their skills. They also are all trained wizards specializing in wardcraft. Members of this house are regarded as brilliant wizards and magical item creators. Their symbol is silver raven on a purple background. They are also close friends with the Noble and Most Ancient House of Thalendir, who supplies their mithral.
The current First Wizard of The Order of Mizzet is a member of this house, he was first in line but instead chose to be the First Wizard. After his father died, his younger brother rules.

Tragedy of Moonwhisper
In the aftermath of the first dwarven holy war, a member of House Ostoroth fell down a dark path. He gathered followers and killed Lord Mizzet of the Order of Mizzet. He used a ritual darker than night to become the world's first Lich and in doing so created the Valley of Shadows(Which was cleansed 3000 years later). When he did this he took his family's moonblade with him, and corrupted it through dark magic. When he was defeated the sword was lost for over 3000 years. Recently the sword was recovered by Luna Green of House Green, a human archeologist and the first human to ever attune to a moonblade. Now she has two. House Ostoroth has of course demanded the return of their ancestral blade but has been told to "fuck off".Structure
The Noble and Most Ancient House of Ostoroth is patrilinial and generally follows the rule of firstborn son. But any full elf brother of the heir may challenge him to a duel upon his succession to gain control of the House.
Culture
House Ostoroth likes to stay largely neutral in Zirdian politics, trying to play the middle and simply maintain or increase their power. They have no official stance on the religion of their house members and temples to both the old gods and the elven church can be found in their town.
