Mother Magic
(a.k.a. Mistress of The Weave)
Mother Magic was one of the first deities to exist along with her sisters. She was born at once with Fate and Mortavis, triplet sisters. Magic, Fate, and Death all together. As one of the forgotten deities little is known about her besides stories that have been passed down through Elven culture for millennia. She is known to have been in love with The Formless One and that is why elves have an innate ability to learn arcane casting and are more naturally attuned to the weave. It is also believed that she was involved in the creation of the draconis, some believe it was the result of a love affair with Zolmov, others that she simply took a dragon and changed it on her own.
The most important story of Mother Magic is her great act of rebellion and sacrifice, the bestowing of arcane power on mortals. God did not want the mortals of his world to know how to do magic outside of the holy magic the gods had given them. But when The Formless One created the elven race she wanted to give them a gift, that of magic. When several other deities asked for their creations to also be able to access arcane magic she made it accessible to all. Now all the races of the world could do magic without the favor of the gods. This angered God greatly and as punishment he sealed her inside the weave, imprisoned in her own creation. The Elves give thanks for her sacrifice every solstice and equinox.

Artifacts
The Orb of The Infinite. A dark blue orb that has been lost since the deliverance. A archpriest of Mother Magic hid it away before the deliverer's army came, that archpriest was killed in the conflict and now the orb is lost. It is said to show the secrets of the weave to any who ponder it but often causes insanity for the weak willed.
Holy Books & Codes
The Scrolls of Preservation. A set of scrolls compiled by many of her earliest followers. They are said to include the instructions for many types of magic including High Casting and Weave Shifting. Unfortunately many scrolls have been lost throughout the centuries. While they are impossible to destroy it is said the the deliverer's followers confiscated many of those that had not been lost previously. They could be hidden away in a vault or buried in random locations, one was found three centuries ago by Elona of The Keepers and is known to allow unlimited castings of Dimension Door. It is known that The Noble House of Moondancer holds another Scroll of Preservation but have not disclosed it's contents beyond it's relation to necromancy. The Noble and Most ancient House of Tempeste also has a scroll that allows for unlimited casting of Call Lightning. It is theorized that somewhere out there is a scroll of preservation that will grant infinite wishes, this is the subject of many ancient elven bedtime stories.

Tenets of Faith
Mother Magic imposes very few restrictions on her followers. The only one that really matters is this, Do not cast or create an antimagic field, it is bad for the weave.
Holidays
Followers of Mother Magic offer their magic back to the weave four times a year on the solstices and equinoxes. This is done through complex rituals, a different one for each holiday. On these days it is typical for family members and close friends to exchange gifts, something that has spread to the general elven population even those who do not worship Mother Magic. The rituals are done at sunrise for spring, noon for summer, sunset for fall, and midnight for winter.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Mother Magic is known to be a neutral goddess caring little for good or evil. Her goals are beyond the comprehension of mortals and she has had champions on both sides of the ethical aisle. She rarely speaks to her followers but it is known that she has spoken to Keeper Elona at least once, the first to hear the voice of magic in many centuries.
