Ironsoul Monastary
Hidden in the mountains and cliffs of the Hansolan east coast is the seaside citadel known as Ironsoul Monastery. Tortles have very few permanent settlements but this monastery is one of them. It is a place where tortles devote themselves to being the shell that protects the material plane from harm. Their devoted train to combat Gith raids, planar incursions, and threats from the astral sea. Astral Self Monks, Watcher Paladins, Clerics of half a dozen gods, and Horizon Walker Rangers are all common here. This is one of the places where Tortles come together to raise their young and many here are great teachers of wisdom. About half of the residents are children under their care or parents waiting to die.
The monastery is a hike to get to but if you are a Tortle it is a blast to leave. A network of underground rivers and waterways connect the monastery to the sea below and a few other locations in the mountains. Tortles leaving will often hop in their shells, hold their breath, and let the current take them. Of course this is dangerous if you can't hold your breath for an hour and don't have a shell to protect you from rocks.

Points of interest
The Hotsprings of Tranquility. There are a set of natural hotsprings outside the monastery where Tortles go to meditate and contemplate. When they go into the astral sea to defend the material plane they will use the hotsprings for group astral projection.
Garden of Wisdom. The shells of Tortles who died after mating are used to form pots for the plants that make up a substantial part of the residents diet. It is seen as a last gift from dying Tortles to have their body composted and their shells used in the garden.
