House Grainfell
House Grainfell is old Alberonian nobility with a dwarven spin. They have ruled Cornstalk for as long as anyone can remember and have fed the nations of the world for generations. They are known for their well-bred horses, their racing is legendary but they also breed a species of War Horse(known as Cornfed) that have served generations of knights as the best around. The Grainfells are known for blonde hair and their talent as riders. Their symbol is a dark green horse on a gold background.
When the Holy Dwarven Empire invaded Alberon Cornstalk surrendered peacefully to the oncoming dwarves and tried to negotiate for its citizens. As a result of that and the fact that they were in the middle of nowhere with not an interesting landmark in sight, they were reorganized into the Cornstalk Clan and given the rights of a dwarf clan. Lord Lionel Grainfell stepped down with the understanding that once his firstborn sun went through kleru training he would be the Uberkleru of their clan, leading in his father's stead. Many dwarves joined this new clan to help them acclimate to dwarven society. When the Holy Dwarven Empire was driven back most of those dwarves stayed, they had left their clans and would have nowhere to go.
The new Count Grainfell is the same son that was vested with power under the Dwarven Empire. He still acts as Uberkleru of the dwarven faith of the region but has altered it to suit its new country. Just as the humans had to adapt to exist in the dwarven nation he has stated that dwarves must adapt now. As a result his faith now recognizes the castes only as determiners of the path to heaven, no caste being in any way above the others. His lebesweg is now voluntary and accepts recruits ages 10+. Krieger is now a position on par with knights and the kleru serve as a sort of religious police.

Structure
The family is organized in a mix of the dwarven and Alberonian style. Count Grainfell has multiple wives but will choose one of the sons of his first wife to inherit the throne. As the Uberkleru Count Grainfell has direct control of all kleru within his clan and is the grand arbiter of religious debates. He uses these loyal kleru to rule over his large city, they act as a sort of police force and royal city councilmen, with notable kleru governing certain districts of the city.
