Introductory Overview: All observable matter can be classified into one of four fundamental states of being: solid, liquid, gas, or energy. These states are governed by the four Core Elements. While more esoteric paradigms such as the The Six Dualities dictate metaphysical forces, the Core Elements govern all tangible materials and substances. A comprehensive understanding of these elements is the foundational requirement for all practical arcanotechnical applications.

Its principles can be extended to alter complex organic solids like wood, fiber, bone, or resin, though operational efficiency decreases relative to the material's dissimilarity to geologic substances. Efficacy can be enhanced through synergistic application with other Mysts, such as using @Life Myst to more effectively manipulate osseous or wooden matter.

Medically, it is used for rapid rehydration and detoxification. In conjunction with Earth Myst, it can be used for hemogenesis (blood generation), and with Synthesis Myst, for the conjuration of various non-magical chemical fluids.
