A death sentence of Jakar.
Used traditionally to execute generals of enemies, the first few were even their own soldiers, turned against them with the promise of freedom. A few times it was used in the disposal of a particularly combative slave to make an example.
Brotz the Undying was sentenced to it 'cos his owner's husband was a jealous dick.
It's supposed to be 1v200, but it rarely lasts that long. In fact, it never lasts that long. Brotz was closest with 189.
A single combatant is to face a stream of fighters. He can win by disabling (like, maiming or forcing to continue lying down) or killing the opponents. The opponents are only victorious upon the death of the single combatant.
The first ten rounds are single opponents one at a time. The next ten rounds are two at a time. And three for the next, then four, then five. After the fiftieth round, the opponents start coming one at a time again for fifty more rounds.
No one has ever survived. The longest lasting Gauntlet was three days long, the record prior to Brotz's was round forty-one, facing off against 66 opponents.
