Divine Spark

The Divine Spark is a god's soul, for lack of a better way to put it. The divine spark feeds on divine energy and offers its host powerful benefits. I stuck it here 'cos I don't know where else to put it.

The divine spark happens as a result of natural Holy Magic  accumulating into a single point. 

A divine spark will "grow" a god if allowed to concentrate behind one idea, it coalesces more easily when the mortal souls are dedicating the 'natural' holy energy to a single idea, and the more mortals doing it the faster and more easily it accumulates and condenses into a single god. 

A divine spark can also grow from aimless energy, usually because of eddies in the energy waves in the world, or simply population density. They are left behind when a god dies, as well. These both are 'empty' and can bond with an idea, creature, or most anything else, at which point that thing will either die or become a god.
