Senior Servant of the Guardian Defender , Nashima (a.k.a. Tish)

Tishca Nashima is the Senior Servant of the Guardian Defender, ranked first among the Lesser Servants (Ishcai-Nashim). She is celebrated as one of the most successful and supportive Servants, adapting Line fighting techniques to make them safer for Warriors and fully developing a programme to train Warriors in Line Support. This led to improved survival prognoses, especially for severe injuries.

Tishca can be contacted through the Administrative Bashi of the Guardian Defender in the first instance. Name, role, associated bashi, and summary of your reason for contacting her should be clearly stated in your message subject header. Owing to Tishca's general popularity and the number of messages received, those relating to the core remit of the Senior Servant of the Guardian Defender will be prioritised. Personal messages will be assessed by the Steward of the Senior Servant and passed on to Tishca herself only in the event that they are considered appropriate. In most cases, messages relating to Gap and Line control should be routed to the Holy Complex Administrative Bashi in the first instance.

Physical Description

Special abilities

Tishca's particular fighting preference is Dumka Style. This style of fight is much harder on the body but prevents more Demons from reaching the line. This is especially important in the tight fighting conditions of enclosed Gaps like Amin Duum. Tishca is known for working dynamically, especially with midsize dragons to get Warriors up into the air, closer to the Gap event horizon. This does not suit Warriors more vulnerable to the mental effects of reality shearing or khata exposure, so requires careful organisation among bashi on the line to ensure only the most suitable Warriors are sent up into the air.

The style involves leaving the line stage itself, either by jumping from demon to demon to get close to the Gap event horizon, where larger demons can be reached more quickly. Warriors can then use Sticks to inject them with anadised powder and neutralised them before they get close to the stage. This can reduce the danger to Warriors on stage, but does require that Warriors in the air are suspended over the abyss. Dragonmasters provide midsize dragons in rescue positions with safety nets to reduce mortalities. Despite this being potentially highly risky, training is extensive and limited to only the most capable Warriors, with a high level of support from the local dragon kunda to reduce the danger.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Tishca was born in Amin Duum's High City in late 3211. Her mother was a Warrior Senior Duty Grade, who specialised in working the enclosed Reality Tear: Gap lines at Amin Duum and Rad Ruinn. Her father was a member of the Amin Duum Seer Service, whose focus was long-range forecasting. Her mother died in childbirth and her father from degenerative khataretic collagen depletion, three days after Tishca was born.

Education

Tishca's assigned Gada was Sonaïka, a former Senior Master Warrior with an interest in enclosed Gap combat. Sonaïka encouraged Tishca's interests in Gap Physics and supported her application to train and study at Amin Duum Academy. Tishca transferred directly to Amin Duum Academy, rather than completing an initial stage of education at her local Temple Fire, and expressed an early fascination with Gap Physics and the work of one of the earliest Senior Servants of the Guardian Defender, Salenkatesh.

As the Warrior of her training bashi, Tishca successfully completed her Bala–Dura age 20 (Naim 4332 AIA), showing a strong interest and expertise in Ancient History during the Dura portion as well. Her bashi presented an investigation into evidence that The Council of the White Tree had deliberately ignored some scientists who had been conducting illegal khata experiments after research into and use of that fundamental force was banned at the end of the Last War. Her work was highly commended and noted during the formal Dura debate held by the Guardian Defender.

Employment

After completing her base education following the Warrior track to the age of 21, Tishca chose to explore Gap Physics and Physical Combat further, with Ancient History. As a Warrior Junior Grade, she first stood the line after graduation in 4333 AIA, serving as bashi lead for the first time early, only a year later. As a Warrior, she was noted as being especially dynamic in her approach, always prepared to take on additional shift rotations. She argued for the right to receive additional basic medical support education. She was preparing to begin training to progress to Senior Duty on a shift rotation in Nas Trinitar when the death of Iyaltaka was declared. Tishca was considered to be eligible for the position of Senior Servant of the Guardian Defender. She was selected by Ashad Amin in Qolril 4337.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Having attained the position, Tishca spent much of her time focused on improving the conditions for Gap Staff at Nas Trinitar Exclusion Zone, Rad Ulgesh Exclusion Zone, and Am Rune Exclusion Zone, where conditions were exceptionally difficult owing to the altitude and meteorological exposure. She had most success at Rad Ulgesh and Am Rune, both of which shortened the length of shift rotations for Warriors and extended the training requirements. They also brought on more support bashi and Line Support Watchers for every tear event. For this, she gained popularity among Warriors at all levels, and her reputation as someone who fought hard for Gap Staff conditions and support.

Tishca is also credited with having worked most closely with the Second Servant of the Guardian Dragonmaster, Sadata, to expand the provision of medical Line Support training to Warriors. Given the chaotic conditions on the line, especially at the enclosed Gaps, injured Warriors could often die or receive life-altering injuries when Watchers could not reach them. Providing Warriors with more extensive education in basic medical care allowed other members of a bashi to give their bash-mates life-saving attention. Tishca included changing bashi dynamics so that Warriors were able to quickly reassign members to different tasks during a fight to ensure at least one or two could continue to provide assistance to a fallen comrade. Training was provided down the roles until it was considered essential as part of Warrior training up to graduation and linked more concretely to training given to Warriors in advance of their Bala. For this she was granted the rare title of Nashima, Warrior of Warriors.
