Dragonfolk
The first dragonfolk were born of dragon eggs manipulated by the gods or dragons directly. These new mortals viewed their Dragon parents as gods. They are fiercely loyal to the dreagon agenda in times past and the present. They served as elite soldiers and commanders during the dragon and giant wars. When the dwarves and orcs rebelled against their dragon masters the dragonfolk remained loyal and did their best to hold onto the lands the dragons claimed. This fallen empire remains in the hands of the dragonfolk to this day though its might is greatly diminished. Longer-lived races remember the days of the dragon-giant wars better than humans and are suspicious of dragonfolk’s intentions when they are encountered.
Most dragonfolk have settled down since then and live their lives in peace though there are some among their ranks that still desire to empire build as their dragon parents once did. The sundering of Necessa was foretold in dragon prophecy and the dragonfolk collective was among the best prepared for the cataclysm. After the shattering the dragonfolk are now in search of their dragon parents once more to fulfill later passages of the dragon prophecy and to learn of new verses to be revealed.
Dragonfolk Culture
Given the mortal nature of dragonfolk they focus on matters that fulfill the dragon prophecy or edifice that outlast their creators and continue to expand of the dragon legacy. This creates a common purpose that all dragonfolk share in their beliefs and shapes their worldview. Good, evil, lawful, or chaotic all dragonfolk know the stories of the dragons growing up and share these stories to everyone. The have strong purpose and are born natural leaders. Where they do defer from their parents is the view that lesser lineages are to be subjugated. Given the current state of Necessa dragonfolk have taken the attitude that all boats float together. They reach out to other communities to help left them up after the devastation of the sundering and now have a few mixed settlements in their borders.
